One of KCC’s core identities is that we are servants. Jesus came not to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45), so we display His love to our one another and our neighbors through serving. Because we exist to seek first Christ and His kingdom, service is a major part of our lives, and the local church is a primary context for serving others. The church is not like a cruise ship, where people show up expecting to be served. The church is more like a battleship, where everyone contributes in some way. God has designed the church so that each person uses his or her gifts and talents to build others up.
